Note for Eurowings guests who have booked a
package tour with Thomas Cook, Thomas Cook Signature, Neckermann
Reisen, Bucher Reisen, Öger Tours or air marin:
Return flights to Germany: Due to the current situation, Thomas
Cook customers who were booked on Eurowings will continue to be flown
back to Germany, Austria and Switzerland from their travel
destinations as scheduled. According to Thomas Cook, the prerequisite
for this is that the outbound flight to the destination region took
place before 24 September 2019. This arrangement will apply indefinitely.
Outward-bound flights to the destination regions: Thomas Cook
Deutschland has informed Eurowings that all package tours have been
cancelled and has asked that we not accept Thomas Cook guests on
Eurowings flights from Germany, Austria and Switzerland to the booked
destination regions until 31 December 2019. We kindly ask for your
understanding that we have to comply with this request.
For questions regarding all outward-bound
flights after 31 December 2019, please contact Thomas Cook or the
tour operators listed above. Of course, all customers have the
option of booking a new flight on eurowings.com themselves and
determining independently to what extent the insolvency insurance of
the organizer will reimburse the costs. In order to make it possible
for as many customers as possible to go on holiday after all, we have
listed a large number of particularly inexpensive flight tickets on eurowings.com.
In general, we continue to ask all guests who
have booked trips for the coming days and weeks with Thomas Cook or
the tour operators listed above to contact their respective tour
operators for clarification of all questions.
Passengers departing from Milano Malpensa
between 27 July and 27 October 2019 are requested to allow
more time for security checks at the airport and to arrive in
time for their flight.
Due to construction work, the airport Milan
Linate will be close and therefore the amount of flights and
passengers in Milan Malpensa will rise significant.
Please note that from June 1st, 2019, Eurowings will be flying from
and landing at Area A in Terminal 1 instead of Terminal 2.
As the second-largest airline at Munich Airport,
Eurowings will be moving to Area A of Terminal 1 in summer 2019: this
change to flight handling for all flights is expected to take place in
June. Passengers will benefit from shorter distances within the
airport and can use all Eurowings service facilities easily and
conveniently in one all-inclusive area.
Eurowings, which has grown strongly in recent
years, will in future be the largest airline based in Terminal 1. This
not only saves time for passengers, but also makes it easier for them
to find their way about. It is just a few steps from the entrance
of the terminal building to the check-in counters and security
checkpoint. After the security check, you can get to your gates just
as quickly and directly. A shuttle connection between terminals is
available for any transfer passengers.
At the same time, Eurowings is ensuring a more
balanced use of capacity at Germany's second-largest airport. The move
will relieve the strain of more than two million Eurowings passengers
from Terminal 2 and its satellite terminal. This year, Munich Airport
will begin the conversion and modernisation of Terminal 1, equipping
the building with modern and effective aircraft handling processes.
You can get further information about Munich
Airport in the terminal information section.
